at the well
he was thirsty, vulnerable,
alone, he had a need,
and asked for help
at the well...
+
at the well she met him,
he was tired,
he longed for a drink,
cool water drawn
from her container
at the well...
+
at the well
in need he revealed
her need,
and conversation flowed
deeper and deeper,
at the well
+
his thirst was not quenched,
but his spirit was revived
as he offered
living water, and there
she drew it from him
at the well...
