He called to me to walk
With him today
Through the corridors
Of my soul, seeking out
The broken pieces of my heart,
Lifting them gently
He invited me to hold them,
And I walked with him,
Collecting fragments of lost promises
And broken dreams,
Seeking out shards of hope,
Searching even the darkened corners
Where shame lay weeping.
There he stopped,
He bid me wipe her tears
And carry her gently
Wrapped as a new born babe,
So we gathered the pieces,
The light, the dark,
The paper thin whispers of desire
The solid chunks of loves memory,
When all were gathered
He revealed myself to me,
Frail, vulnerable and
Deeply loved,
He showed me such compassion
That I shook with the power of it, as
I offered my broken self
To be made whole...
