The BBC reports : The headline in the The Times, which has 23 pages of coverage, is a quote from President Obama: "Justice is done".
In its leader, the paper says the death of Bin Laden brings relief to the families of his victims, bolsters US morale and hastens al-Qaeda's decline.
And all I want to ask is:
Has justice really been done- is justice really this cheap? - Surely this is revenge, and revenge is not justice....
How does Bin Laden's death bring releif?
Will it really bring about the demise of al-Qaeda? Might it not cause a back-lash?
I end with the quote posted by many via facebook:
""I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that." Martin Luther King, Jr."
