January saw the arrival of our two kittens Marley and Ellie, they were brought to us by my sister whose neighbours could not look after them any more.
They have made themselves at home, in fact I'd go so far as to say that they run the place!
Marley is very sociable and likes to be with people all the time.
Ellie allows you to pet her when she feels like it, and is very partial to "kitty treats!
January also brought a lot of snow...
..... and freezing temperatures.
There may be a repeat of this later in the year :-)
With a snow melt in February we set out to explore Yorkshire.
The waves at Hornsea ....
...and a walk around Grimwith Reservoir...
March and Mothering Sunday with a difference. Cafe Church and lots of crafts!
April, and we began the great gardening adventure of 2010 in earnest! We had reasonable successes through the year... there will be more garden pics!
.
May was the month of the "bike ride", the Circuit Staff and others completed a 67 mile sponsored ride and raised over £2,000 for Christian aid...
We stopped at each church in the Circuit for a time of prayer before setting off again.
This year as we are now Stationed to two Circuits it will be a two day event!
Snaith and Selby Circuit. (North Yorkshire)
June and the beginning of the great Graduation Crawl of 2010 began with Chris's graduation from Cliff College.
.....
It also included some very enjoyable Wednesday Evening Sailing at Ripon Sailing Club, where the sailing is followed by a good social time which includes a meal!
July brought two more Graduations, first Jon and then Jo:
Jon graduated in Theatre Studies from Lancaster, Jo in Music from Sheffield.
July also brought some excellent crops from the garden!
August and more sailing; North West Norfolk Week brought some trophies!
August also brought a visit from some special friends:
September and we were gathering a harvest in:
Tim also helped Emma to buy a little car, she calls him Noddy:
October, and Tim (Hubby) began at the Wesley Study Centre in Durham- he is a Student Deacon:
It is a bit strange having a student husband, especially now that all of our children have graduated.
Jon is also a student , he is completing a Masters and is back in Lancaster.
October also brought a welcomed visit from our eldest son Paul and his family. The photo is taken at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park:
November and Paul and Louise both graduated:
and continued with frost...and ice...
But I can't leave out the Adult Nativity, Mary is receiving gifts for the Salvation Army in Leeds:
And then of course there was Christmas:
Ellie looking for some tinsel to pounce on....
And cats sure know how to spend Boxing Day:
And round we go again....
Happy 2011 everyone x
