Advent Actions 1: I hope

 Write Christmas wish list, not things that you want to consume or purchase, but things to believe in, things to hope for... (Stephen Cottrell; in Do nothing Christmas is coming.)

 What do I believe this Advent?

I believe that it is not all about the babe in the manger, but also about the Ressurected Jesus, whose coming in glory we await.

I believe that we must not keep him safely confined to Nativity plays, but must dare to encounter him as he is; KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS!

I believe that he will come again, and that I must prepare for his coming...

I believe that grace and mercy will go before him...

I hope for a sense of need to descend upon the whole of creation and for a hunger to be stirred in humanity for justice and truth..
