Yesterday was crammed full, I was up early to prepare two evening meals to take up to Joanne and Jon.
After church and lunch we headed off, first stop Sheffield, I stayed in Sheffield to see the University Symphony Orchestra play. Joanne auditioned for the orchestra and gained a place in her first year ( quite an achievement) , they ended the concert with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 2 or The Little Russian Symphony, having started with a Prokofiev Piano Concerto No 3:
Not the best recording here- but a taster anyway!
Tim drove on across the Pennines to collect Jonathan from Lancaster, and we met up again in Sheffield about 10:30pm, for a 3 hour trip home!
I got up early this morning to put the finishing touches to the Christingle Service for Clackclose School, we had a great morning, the church was packed with children, their parents and other members of the Downham Market congregation. Story-telling, music and laughter to celebrate Christmas. This was followed by a meeting with the Head-and Deputy head teachers at the school to plan this Wednesday's memorial service for Hannah, this special Service is going to be for the school only, to help them to make sense of what happened to their friend.
Tomorrow will be equally busy with 3 more services to plan.....
Hopefully there will be some time in the craziness to find space ....not on Wednesday though, because I have prior warning of an invasion- Jo and Jon and their friends are planning a party!
