I have been tagged by Dave Warnock to do this meme;
1997: I was living in Katy, Texas, we had moved there as a family just a few months before, and were adapting to a very different way of life. We'd moved from Tollesbury small village on the Essex coast. We lived there for 3 years, Paul graduated from High School while we were there, we enjoyed the heat, exploring the area, were challenged by the differences ( esp. the schools), and surprised by the similarities. I am glad we went, but glad to be home now.
1987; Living in Tollesbury, Essex was a difficult year, Chris had just had an operation and was recovering quite well, and we were learning what it was to live with a child with a major heart defect. To say this had a huge impact on family life would be an understatement. Through coping with Chris's condition we learnt to pray, we learnt to seek and trust God, simple answers and cliches were not enough...
1977: Living in Mayland. Essex, I had just completed my O'levels and was looking forward to sixth form. The summer had been long and hot, and I'd enjoyed swimming in the river and helping out on the farm, particularly with the horses. I remember the future seeming a vast and uncharted landscape, lots of hopes and dreams... though had anyone told me what I'd be doing now I think I would have thought them quite mad!
