Reverendmother says; Cheesehead and I are both laid up this week with various tooth maladies. This one's in honour of us: 1. Are you a regular patron of dentist's offices? Or, do you go
a) faithfully, as long as you have insurance, or
b) every few years or so, whether you need it or not, or
c) dentist? what is this "dentist" thing you speak of?
I'm a regular patron of dentists offices- I guess having 5 children and one with a major heart condition makes you aware of the need for excellent dental health. Though I must say we do benefit from a National Health Service practice here in the UK- though these are becoming few and far between- I did not have to pay for any of the children's dental work until they reached 18. Even now Chris gets free dental work because he receives disability allowance.
There is something to be said for a National Health Service- that said once they have left home we encourage everyone to get dental insurance- as National Health Practises are almost impossible to get into now! 2. Whatever became of your wisdom teeth?
.
I still have them! - could be because I have a big mouth!!!- I favour the idea that I have small neat teeth! 3. Favourite thing to eat that's BAAAAAD for your teeth.
.
Chocolate- bad for my teeth, bad for my diet- but soooo good!!! Along with that citrus fruit- I love citrus fruit- but the acid is no good for dental enamel- though I'm convinced to be entirely healthy we would be fed an intravenous cocktail of balanced vitamins and minerals- avoiding our teeth altogether! No fun at all- no more crunchy apples of yummy puddings ... no more spicy dips and help me no more chocolate....mmmm my mouth is watering off to find some now!
4. Ever had oral surgery? Commiserate with me
.
Yes- I fell off a horse going over a cross-country brush jump and caught the side of my face- my teeth were OK for a couple of years- but as I'd been warned the nerve endings in a couple of them started to go so I had to have a couple of nasty extractions! ouch- feeling wobbly now.... think chocolate might help! 5. "I'd rather have a root canal than , ummmm
swim with fish? errr walk a tightrope?_ummm oh I know- I'd rather have a root canal than preach in the nude! I hate needles, I hate drills.... my teeth feel funny just thinking about it.... ....more chocolate might help!
Bonus: Does your dentist recommend Trident?--err no! now if only they would invent dental chocolate...
