It saddens me that I have blogging friends who are having their thoughts censored by Churches and Denominations who are unhappy for them to enter into a constructive dialogue with others. often these folk have said nothing unorthodox themselves, their "crime" has been to listen to and to link to others.
In many ways the blogging world has provided me with a safe place to speak out and to test ideas and thoughts, many blogs reflect the journey of their writers, many writers are challenged to re-consider strongly held views by their commenter's. I am grateful to my Denomination that it embraces a wide variety of expression and thought, dialogue is seen as important to growth. how sad that this is not the case for all.
My prayer then is for openness, for dialogue, and for tolerance, if we within the Christian community cannot enter into an open dialogue with one another then what hope do we have of being open and accepting of others from different spiritualities and none.
