Picking up on my note to self... Phil Wyman has suggested this:
Would you be up for posting a blog on the syncretism of American Christianity with American Culture. Of course this is not a wholly unique concept, but between the many brains we might be able identify, debate, and discuss ways in which we see American culture having encroached upon our church life, and becoming the standard which is potentially antithetical to the Gospel.
I'm suggesting we widen the American culture bit out to Western culture to draw in the Canadians, Aussies, Brits,and other Europeans...
So..."Any takers? Wanna set a date to release the blog simultaneously? Say a week from today 12/14? It might well fit the consumerism of Christmas. Whadayathink? Anybody you'd like to get in on the conversation?"
