deep in the
frozen winter of
our confusion,
in the shadows
of the the life
that was,
but is no more,
when hope seems
lost, and disappointment
gives way
to disorientation
new life surprises
us, springing
forth, unexpectedly,
it will not
give up,
will not be
held back,
life does not die,
it is ever renewed
and renewing,
and life beckons
us once again
to hear
old promises
new rhythms of grace,
life is here,
love is here,
always,
and again...
