This evening I cooked for two, we had mashed potato (sweet and plain) carrots, home grown purple sprouting...
Over at Reflectionary, Songbird has set me thinking...
For I was not cooking for Tim (husband) and me, but for Chris ( middle son) and me!
Life is odd, during the week Tim is away, he is studying and undergoing training to become a Methodist Deacon. During the week he lives in Durham and I live in Yorkshire. During the week Chris who would rather not be at home, and I eat together...
Chris graduated last year, he wants to be working, but with one in every 5 graduates out of work and living in an area of higher than average unemployment things are tough...
We are mostly muddling along at the moment, Chris cooks sometimes, and housework gets done on an ad.hoc basis...
Tim comes home at the weekends, by that time we are both tired, so we muddle through...
We muddle through, and love makes it easier...
...BUT all of these things are trifles on the grand scale of thigs, we are well, we are fed, and we are blessed...
Time to get on with being a blessing then!
