As I listened to this video clip, I was aware of many. many points where as a Christian I could have entered into a constructive dialogue, and saddened the narrow theology that Michael had been presented with, and by the way he had been treated!
I am posting this with sadness and as a challenge; what might we have to say about issues such as creation, mother God, and sexuality?
One thing I cannot deny though is the message of the cross, the view presented here of God the Father killing his only Son is a narrow parody of the amazing message and self giving love we see exhibited in Christ- the issue of personal sin is also a sticky point, and perhaps one that challenges us to re-evaluate what we call sin, and maybe what we don't call sin!
Are you challenged, saddened/ both or neither?
